Rooster's Pickles is a very small gourmet boutique pickle brand. My mother was given a recipe years ago by a friend in Texas. Family and friends have always enjoyed the unique flavor; sweet with heat. We are confident you will too! After years of being asked to make them for friends, we decided to try and make a business out of them. We just got started in October 2012 making them available to the public. They are made in a commercial kitchen with all permits and inspections up to date.
Rooster's Pickles are great right out of the jar or on any food that you currently enjoy with a pickle. Best served cold, they must be refrigerated after opening. Shelf life is one year, but I bet they won't last that long! People have been known to eat the entire jar upon opening and even drinking the juice.
Do NOT throw that brine down the sink! It is great to mix in with your hamburger meat or to add to your chicken, tuna or egg salad. You can also use it as a marinade. Add some olive oil, salt and pepper and you have a salad dressing or drizzle it on you hoagie/sub sandwich. What are you doing with it? Let us know so we can share your idea.
We currently are making two flavors; original and spicy. They are 100% hand crafted in small batches. It is a thick crinkle cut chip with some heat (spice) available in 16 oz. glass jars. The second flavor is a spicier version of the original: sweet with more heat.
